Updates:

  • We are behind schedule on the next chapter on over-fired zisha teapots; this is a similarly in-depth chapter to the previous under-fired zisha teapots, requiring a substantial amount of new research, and a friend (accidentally) broke my over -fired Yixing teapot from our commissioned fire-set (preventing a few planned experiments)... as I wrote about in the CoQ blog post linked above. We should be back up and running this week.
  • We are going to try something a little different from our usual Talk, Taste, and Triage sessions this week – I am hosting an "Open Tea House" from 1:30pm - 7pm on Saturday March 1st. Feel free to drop by for any length of time, from a half hour to all day. Feel free to bring tea or teawares for tasting or triage as usual, or just show up and drink tea from my collection. Subscribers are welcome to bring 1 guest. If this will be your first time at my private tea room, please RSVP my email for the address; no need to RSVP if you're a cool cat in the know.
