  • A rare Friday post, a touch behind schedule. Though this chapter is on under-fired zisha clay as a Yixing firing flaw, it is heavily focused on the chemistry of Yixing teapot and tea interaction. We expect this chapter to be controversial and we welcome constructive debate and commentary in the spirit of good science. For this reason, we have made the chapter open access.
  • The first bi-monthly Talk, Taste, and Troubleshoot of the year is scheduled for January 5th at 5:30pm - 8pm EST. These are in-person open-sessions for subscribers, hosted in my Manhattan tea room in NYC. Feel free to bring a difficult tea for triage, a teapot for identification, pu'er for age and provenance verification, questions for the group, or just show up to taste some good tea from Jason's collection. Subscribers are welcome to bring a guest. Please RSVP by email; address will be given on RSVP.
